Justice P.N. Bhagawati 2nd International Moot Court Competition

The commercial exploration for Legalance goes hand in hand with its sensitivity towards the needs of the society and its attempt towards becoming more human in its quest for progress and development.

Legalance, in the past has contributed its Two Cents by providing Free legal Aid to people with lower income and assisting the vulnerable groups through the medium of NGOs working for the benefit of the masses. Apart from academic participation through seminars and lectures on various topics including career counseling and Right to information act we have been participating in Moot Court competitions across the state as Judges and as sponsors.

Legalance proudly announces its participation in Justice P.N. Bhagawati 2nd International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed university, New Law college Pune On the 25th and 26th February 2012.

The competition saw participation of around 30 teams from national and international Law schools. The Dias being shared by the Legends in the Indian judicial History namely; Honourable Justice(Retd.Chief justice of India) Shri P. N. Bhagawati, Honourable Justice (Retd.) Shri Mallimath (Mallimath Commission), Honourable Justice (supreme Court)Shri. B.R. Chauhan, Hon’ble Justice (Mumbai High Court) Shri. Abhay Thipsay and other dignitories.

Legalance thanks Bharati vidyapeeth New law college Pune, for giving us an opportunity to award prizes to some promising participants who showed spark and passion and who could be an asset to the legal community.

The prize was called “THE LEGALANCE DARK HORSE” and was awarded to participants in first three rounds i.e Round I,II & Semi finals.

The winners of these prizes were:

i. Arveena Sharma (symbiosis Law School, Noida) for Round I

ii. Nikhil Sharma (Nirma University) for Round II

iii. Somesh Mohanty (National law university, Orrissa) for Semi-Finals
